Thanks to the CivilSchools Bullying Prevention and Intervention Training for Parents, for the first time, I actually believe bullying is preventable. More importantly, I know what specific steps I can take to ensure my children feel safe at school.

- Eric G, Parent, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, Tucson, AZ

Our ASB is conducting a leadership training activity with the freshmen class modeled after the very practical and helpful CivilSchools Student UPstander Intervention Training. I am really excited to talk to the 9th graders about social norming, interrupting behaviors, and first responding. We could not have had this sort of organization and structure without CivilSchools.

- Jake B, Student, Skyline High School, Sammamish, WA

The CivilSchools curriculum has helped many of the families that we serve create safer learning environments for their children at school. Children with autism are often targets of bullying behavior. The CivilSchools program, is hands down, the most effective strategy for building a school climate where children with special needs can thrive.

- Justin Lewis, Director of Firefighters vs. Autism, Oro Valley, AZ

The CivilSchools message was clear, concise and at the heart of the problem. Our students were immediately talking about the ideas for ways to improve the school culture. We now have common language and understanding to help guide conversations amongst students and staff. Plus, the follow-up work with the faculty was well presented with research and practicality for teachers.

- Karen S. Weeks, Principal – Middle Level School & Phil Grant, Principal – High School
People’s Academy, Morrisville, VT

We have dealt with few bullying issues this year, and I am convinced the CivilSchools programming this fall spearheaded positive behaviors.

- Don Peschel, Dean of Students, Sauk Centre Secondary School, Sauk Centre, MN

Jamie Utt is an outstanding facilitator! He brings a genuine spirit and dynamic approach to working with young people. He promotes the power of inclusion to students, teachers and school communities by engaging them in a process that promotes a culture of action through authentic dialogue and experiential learning. Jamie exudes energy, compassion and connection to all audiences!

- Carla Mestas, Director of Diversity and Inclusiveness, Stanley British Primary School, Denver, CO

Jamie Utt is not your typical trainer. Our staff was excited after the CivilSchools staff development presentation, and after his assembly and student training, a group of devoted student leaders have formed an organization to continue the mission for inclusion at our school. The CivilSchools message will continue to be a part of our school’s desire to combat intolerance for a long time to come.

- Diane Fitz, Counselor, Richmond Burton Community High School, Richmond, IL

Our staff felt the content was rich, research based and yet was entertaining and relatable for students and staff.
